REA ScanCheck 2 Barcode Verifier

Equipped with a scanner head with a 670 nm junction laser the REA ScanCheck 2 autodiscriminates between different code types and recognizes automatically the magnification factor. All common standard symbologies can be verified.

A short "pass" or "fail" message is given by audible and optical signals. Detailed verification data is presented on the LCD display, and can be transferred to either the optional HS 32 matrix printer as a printout, or to a PC via the optional TransWin software.

The REA ScanCheck 2 is commonly used in the UK within the Major Retailers Bar Code Integrity Group 'MR BIG' by companies such as Tesco and Sainsbury. Also by organisations such as Pira International.

Options:

REA TransWin: A data capture program for Windows PC´s and laptops. REA TransWin enables the verification reports to be displayed, saved and printed.

REA Article look up: This option allows an article description to be shown on the display of the REA ScanCheck II. Each article can be assigned with price and date fields. The date fields will be compared with the date in an EAN 128 barcode. If the encoded date is outside of the range specified in the article look up the REA ScanCheck II will provide an error message.

Optional Codes: Some bar codes which are very specific are available as additional options. Optional Codes are Pharma Code and Mini Pharma Code, Codabar Monarch and Codabar ANSI, HIBC.

Comparator: This option allows the comparison between a mastercode and the verified code. If the code content is not identical the REA ScanCheck II provides an error message.

Printer: REA Print HS 32: a graphic matrix printer with 1.9 lines/sec print speed. Printout is on standard paper 58 mm wide. Power supply supplied for combined charging and operation of the REA ScanCheck II.
