With crisp 300 dpi printing for images or fine text and an unprecedented 360-meter ribbon for greater productivity and reduced downtime the CLP631 (1000790) is a high-performance printer built for the desktop environment.

High resolution label printers generally are used for a few of the more "specialist" areas and applications. The most popular are as follows:

Compliance printing of EAN barcodes e.g. in retail and automotive
Manufacturing for printing of small labels, serial number rating plates, WEEE logos, etc.
Medical and hospital applications such as wristbands, samples etc (and especially 2D barcodes)
Applications using 2D barcodes and high data labels where 300 dpi gives a greater clarity in a smaller size.

Citizen's unique metal Hi-Lift™ mechanism allows easy access for loading of media and/or ribbons and the adjustable media sensor can handle a wide variety of label configurations including standard and pediatric medical wristbands. The powerful on-board 32 Bit RISC processor delivers exceptional throughput and fast first label out.

The Citizen CLP631 (1000790) comes standard with internal parallel, serial, and USB interfaces. Optional Ethernet and Wifi interfaces are also available.
